Pork Chops With Apples
4 pork chops, 1" thick
salt and pepper, to taste
vegetable cooking spray
2 apples, peeled, cored, quartered
1/4 c. dry white wine
1/3 c. fat free chicken broth

Sprinkle the pork chops with salt and pepper.

Spray a heavy skillet, large enough to hold the pork chops and apples in a single layer, with vegetable cooking spray. Add the pork chops and brown well on one side, about 5 min. Turn and brown on the other side, about 10 min.

Push the chops aside and add the apples in one layer. Continue cooking the pork and apples for 15 min., turning the apples and pork so that they brown and cook evenly.
Remove the pork chops and apples to a serving dish.

Pour off the fat from the skillet. Add the wine, stirring to dissolve the brown particles that cling to the bottom and sides of the pan. Add the broth and simmer down to a sauce like consistency. Pour the sauce over the pork chops and apples. Serve.
