Scald milk and melt butter. Put aside till needed. Mix ingredients in first mixture and set aside for 10 minutes. Beat eggs and sugar, add salt, melted butter and whiskey. Combine the rest of the second mixture with the first.
Add another 7 to 8 cups of flour slowly. Knead until light and fluffy.
About 20 to 30 minutes. Let rise until doubled. Punch down, divide into
four pieces. Knead in raisins. Place in greased bread pans. Let rise again.
Brush tops with beaten egg.
