Preheat oven to 350° F. Mix butter and cake mix. Add 1-1/2 teaspoons water and blend. 
Dough should be stiff, but mixes are different so a little more water may be needed; add by drops. Roll dough on floured pastry sheet, then cut out cookies. Have someone help bake on ungreased cookie sheet 5 to 8 minutes. Makes about a dozen cookies.
