Apple Jack Dessert
4 medium apples, peeled and sliced
1/2 cup granulated sugar
cinnamon
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 Tbsp. butter, margarine or drippings |
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt |
Put apples into 8 inch casserole. Pour first amount of
sugar evenly over top. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
Mix second amount of sugar, butter and egg together in
mixing bowl. Stir in milk. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Mix well
and spoon over apples. Bake at 350° F. for 35 to 40 minutes until apples
and cake top are cooked.
