Apple Bread Pudding
3 eggs
1-14 oz can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated
milk)
3 medium apples, pared, cored and finely chopped (about
2 cups)
1 3/4 cups hot water |
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 cups raisins, optional
4 cups bread cubes (about 6 oz)
1 small container of whipped topping |
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In large bowl, beat eggs;
add sweetened condensed milk, apples, water, butter, cinnamon and vanilla.
Stir in raisins and bread cubes, completely moistening bread. Turn into
buttered 9" square baking pan. Bake for 60 minutes or until knife inserted
in center comes out clean. Cool slightly, serve warm with whipped topping.
