Big Soft Sugar Cookies

Cream together:
1 cup margarine or butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
3 eggs

Add:
3 1/2 cup flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Chill thoroughly. When ready, roll 1/8" to 1/4" thick, using flour when necessary to combat stickiness. Bake at 375° F. for 6-8 min.
