Spiced Iced Tea

16 cups water
1 tsp. cardamom seeds
1 tsp. whole allspice
3 cinnamon sticks (3-inch), halved
8 regular-sized tea bags
Fresh mint sprigs (optional)

Combine first 4 ingredients in a Dutch oven; bring to a boil. Remove from heat; add tea bags. Cover and let stand 5 minutes. Strain tea into a pitcher, and chill.
Yield: 1 gallon (serving size: 1 cup).
