Fresh-Squeezed Lemonade

1-1/2 quarts water
1-1/2 cups sugar
2 cups fresh lemon juice, chilled (6 lemons)
Lemon wedges (optional)

Combine water and sugar in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil, and cook 1 minute. Remove from heat; let cool. Pour sugar mixture into a pitcher; chill. Add lemon juice to sugar mixture; stir well. Serve over ice, and garnish with lemon wedges, if desired.
Yield: 1 quart (serving size: 1 cup)
